We want to build a network capable of providing internet speeds that will meet the demands of today's (and tomorrow's) users. Living in the boondocks should not preclude us from having access to decent broadband internet. We've got the motivation and the ideas, but we can't do it alone. We need the help of the community to put the plan into action.
The first step is determining how much demand there is for the service. Before C-Spire built their fiber optic network in Quitman, they required a certain number of homes to commit to subscribing to their service. People went door-to-door and eventually made that happen. We want to do something similar by collecting the addresses of homes that would be interested.
If you live in the Elwood community (basically somewhere on the map below), you can help us by filling out the survey at the bottom of this page to register your interest. Please share the link to the survey (https://goo.gl/forms/ITtfaZVow4eypiDA3) and our Facebook page with others in the community. If we can get only 20-30 homes to commit, we'll know the project is at least feasible, and we can start working on the next steps.
